Privacy & Parents

Parents first. Always.

ColorChamp is for kids, but every account belongs to a parent. Here's how we protect your child before anything is collected or shown.

1. Consent comes first

Under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we get verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before collecting anything from or about a child, or showing a child's name on a board.

2. Parents hold the account

Kids don't sign up or type in their own details. A parent signs up with only the child's first name and age. Email is optional. A parent uploads pages and controls what's shown.

Word quiz login: a parent sets it up with the child's first name and a six-number birthday code (MMDDYY). We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code, never the birthday itself. Because a birthday can be guessed, we limit wrong login tries, and the quiz holds only a first name, quiz answers and the words being practiced.

3. Page-only uploads

Upload the coloring page only. No faces, no kids in the photo, no names written on the page. If a face shows up, we won't use the photo.

4. Minimal names on boards

Boards show first name, last initial and age only, or a nickname you choose. No towns, schools or photos of children.

5. Delete anytime

You can ask us to delete your child's pages and information at any time. We keep data only as long as we need it for the competition and skills check.

6. No reviews for rewards

Trophies and rankings are never tied to leaving a review on Amazon or anywhere else.

Please note. This page summarizes how ColorChamp handles children's information. Every child sign-up needs a parent or legal guardian's consent first. Coloring-page uploads and trophy boards run only under the published official competition rules. Questions? See our Terms.
